Today a group of locals got together to add some colour to the borders around the all weather court behind the church. Lots of people turned out to clear out the weeds, dig holes, plant plants and water them in. There was tea and cake for the adults and sandwiches for the children. With many thanks to the Teddington Society, Hampton Court, Nick, Dave, Andy and the cadets from the Met and all those who wielded pickaxes to break the soil which is rock hard at the moment. Herb boxes were being built as I left and there is a plan to go back to do more planting and planning for spring sowing in Septemberish.
