Revd Karen Wellman – Vicar

Revd Karen has been the vicar of St Mark’s since September 2015.

She is a Spiritual Director and the Diocese of Kensington Advisor on Spiritual Formation. She is one of the very few ordained circle dance teachers in the world and has led retreats and workshops on dance as a way of moving into stillness.

Before ordination she was an Authorised Lay Preacher at All Saints Church Wokingham and worked for Wokingham Borough Council as their adult social care records officer. She has worked with horses, sold computers and books and trained as a garden designer.

Gareth Lawrence
Gareth is our reader. His has now retired but his day job was in the wine trade.

Sally Maxwell and Rachel Bide
Sally and Rachel are our church wardens. Sally used to be a teacher and was chair of governors of St John the Baptist School for many years. Rachel is now retired and used to be the school librarian at Teddington School.

John Bazalgette
John is our deputy church warden who looks after the small hall and is our link person with Sheddington. For many years he ran the Grubb Institute of Leadership and Management.
