Pet Blessing

It’s back! Pet Blessing came to this part of Teddington for the first time last year. We were aiming for St Francis’ Day on the 4th October but with Messy Church decided to go for 15th October at 3pm. Last year we welcomed Marley, Pikachu, Robbie, Archie and Blue to name but a few. This year we would love to meet dogs, cats, small furries and any animal that you share your life with. We are going to celebrate the relationship between people and their pets with songs and blessing and cake.

All dogs on leads please and everything else in carriers.13432311_10157099372720360_7452722641379145100_n

Messy Church

Our Messy Church is coming back this autumn at the earlier time of 2.30-4pm. We will be in church where we will have craft, stories and songs. We finish with tea and cake.

Our first meeting is on the 8th October where our theme will be harvest and autumn. Some of the crafts will be very messy and suitable for the very young as well as the young in spirit.

Ever wish you hadn’t thrown that vintage gem away and now it is back in fashion? St Mark’s is hosting a Vintage Clothes sale on Saturday 9th September from 10.30-12.30pm. Tea, coffee and cakes and a chance to buy clothing from the 1950s to 1980s.

Prayers for Manchester

The church is open as usual if anyone wants to come in and find a place to be still or light a candle.

In the face of tragedy we pray for all those affected; for those who are injured, for those who died, for those profoundly shocked by the speed with which a fun night out became a place of horror.

We give thanks for all those in the emergency services and pray for them as they go to work today.

Lord in the face of such terrible attacks let us continue to search for peace.

Stillness on Sunday 30th April

Easter seems a long time ago but tonight we are spending some time away from the rush and bustle of the world outside. God’s goodness in creation is all around us but how often do we stop and look, listen, taste, feel or smell that the world is good?

So tonight from 6.30-7pm we will meditate on the goodness of creation with chocolate. All welcome!
